Over the summer holidays, I heard plenty of stories of people’s gaming consoles failing due to the hot weather. But one story in particular stood out to me.
A friend of mine played his Playstation a bit too much in hot weather and claims that something inside his console melt, causing him to get the dreaded yellow light of death.
In an earlier post I mentioned that I had some troubles in the heat, but it’s not only restricted to Playstation with Xbox consoles also failing.
So what can we do to save our hundred of dollar investments?
Obviously we can buy third-party cooling fans, but these are added expenses which we really shouldn’t need to get. Companies should real make sure decent fans are installed in their systems to make sure damage is not caused, not matter what the weather.
