The Nintendo 3DS Info Update
With the release of Nintendo’s newest DS update getting closer and closer, everyone is wondering what the 3dS will have to offer. Well, technoladget is here to tell you.
No glasses 3D
The 3Ds is most likely the only no glasses console in the world, using a process called autostereoscopy. It’s not the tacky Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3D that pops out at you either, it’s the Avatar 3D, which actually adds depth and realism to the games. There has also been rumours of an added 2D version.
The 3DS will track how long you’ve played overall, and how long for each game, as well as counting physical activity (with a built in pedometer) and giving you awards for physical activity.
Like the Wii, a Mii Maker will feature on the 3DS. It will have the ability to import from the Wii, and include new items.
You will be able to watch 3D movies on your 3DS, though no titles have been announced.
The 3DS will be completely backwards compatible, meaning it can play any previous DS game.
3DS Messaging Service
The 3DS will support a messaging service, like Pictochat, but in 3D. This will be done through the friend list via the Nintendo WiFi Connection.
Many, many games have been announced for the 3Ds. To name just a few.
– LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
– The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
– Nintendogs + Cats
– Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D
– Star Fox 64 3D
